Milwaukee Yoga Movement is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit  organization committed to helping our children and community by providing yoga programs that promote good health and supportive learning skills.  Our custom tailored yoga programs are designed to meet the specific needs of the staff and the students.


Practicing yoga can lessen anxiety, heighten concentration and improve motivation in as little as eight weeks, according to research from the Kripalu Institute.

 

Speaking about MYM’s program, 18 year old Courtney from Lad Lake said, ” I love yoga. It helped me changed the way I act when I get angry.  Instead of screaming, I breathe deep now and the anger goes away.”


“I was pleasantly surprised by how engaged our students were in the yoga classes,” noted Principal Robert Rauh of Milwaukee College Preparatory School, “and there was definite evidence that the strategies taught carried over through the rest of the school day in a very positive manner.”
